Türkiye and Saudi Arabia have reached an agreement to enhance their collaboration in justice matters, following discussions between Turkish Justice Minister Akın Gürlek and Saudi Justice Minister Walid bin Muhammad Al Samaani in Ankara. The focus of their dialogue was on expanding their partnership in judicial reforms, legal expertise, and advancements in digital justice.
The ministers emphasized the significance of fortifying legal systems and improving cooperation consistent with Türkiye’s “Century of Türkiye Vision” and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Both nations are committed to developing stronger legal frameworks and increasing the efficiency of their judicial processes.
Türkiye offered to share insights from its National Judiciary Informatics System (UYAP) with Saudi Arabia. This includes expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence-supported legal services, cybersecurity, alternative dispute resolution, and enhanced judicial cooperation. The exchange aims to support Saudi Arabia in its pursuit of modernizing its justice system.
Additionally, the two countries plan to boost official exchanges and direct collaboration among legal professionals. This initiative is expected to reinforce their bilateral relationship and improve the accessibility and modernization of justice systems in both Türkiye and Saudi Arabia.
