Turkey Launches Solustiq, Pioneering Vertical AI for Global Travel Industry

Solustiq, a Turkey-based software and artificial intelligence firm, has established itself as the nation’s first vertical AI company dedicated to the global travel and tourism industry. Operating from Edirne, with additional offices in Istanbul and Dubai, Solustiq is focused on creating a specialized AI infrastructure for what is considered the world’s largest service industry with a significant economic impact. Despite its contribution of over $11 trillion to global GDP and employing one in ten workers worldwide, the travel and tourism sector has lagged in technological advancement. Solustiq is part of a burgeoning group of “vertical AI” companies, which are building AI solutions specifically tailored to the unique demands and regulatory landscape of a single industry.

Alper Tekin, Founder and CEO of Solustiq, emphasized the need for industry-specific AI tools, asserting that the travel sector requires more than just general-purpose chatbots. Solustiq’s product lineup includes DataGreat, an AI market intelligence platform with over 38 specialized modules; SkilledAgents, a no-code platform enabling travel agencies to create custom AI agents; VibePy, an AI code generation tool; and Vuln0x, a platform for autonomous AI penetration testing. These products are designed to tackle specific challenges within the travel value chain and are built upon domain-specific training data and industry-standard protocols.

Solustiq’s approach diverges from the traditional single-product SaaS model by offering a portfolio of AI-native products that address various facets of the travel technology stack. The company’s sister operation, Safaryar Holidays, a TURSAB-licensed B2B hotel wholesaler based in Istanbul, utilizes Solustiq’s tools, providing a real-world testing ground for the AI solutions. Safaryar’s agency partners across Europe, the Gulf region, and Central Asia actively use these tools, facilitating a feedback loop that informs further development.

Tekin identifies three core forces driving the rise of vertical AI in travel by 2026. These include the disruption of legacy GDS oligopolies like Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport by emerging AI-native infrastructure providers; the shift in “build vs. buy” dynamics that allows smaller travel agencies to afford AI solutions; and regulatory changes in the EU and Turkey, such as Turkey’s Cybersecurity Law 7545, which are pushing for modernization in the travel sector. According to Tekin, the industry is faced with a choice between adopting AI solutions built by industry insiders or relying on more generic AI technologies.

Solustiq, officially known as Solustiq Yazılım ve Yapay Zeka Teknolojileri A.Ş., was founded by Alper Tekin, who also manages B2B travel operations through Safaryar Holidays. This dual expertise in both AI technology and travel industry operations positions Solustiq uniquely in the market, as it continues to expand its portfolio of AI-driven products from its headquarters in Edirne and its offices in Istanbul and Dubai.
