Speaking after Trump’s remarks at the NATO summit, Stubb emphasized that decisions about Greenland’s governance rest solely with Denmark and Greenland itself. Valtonen also reiterated Finland’s unwavering support for Denmark’s sovereignty over its territories.
Valtonen highlighted that Arctic security concerns should be addressed through established defense cooperation channels rather than through territorial claims. She pointed out that Denmark and the United States are already engaged in discussions about defense collaboration, while NATO continues to enhance security measures across the Arctic region to ensure stability.
