Polish President Karol Nawrocki is set to engage in diplomatic discussions with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in the United States. Security issues are anticipated to be high on the agenda for these talks, reflecting ongoing regional concerns.
In addition to meeting with Erdoğan, President Nawrocki is also scheduled to confer with leaders from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The focus of these meetings is expected to be regional security, highlighting the importance of collaboration among these nations in addressing mutual defense and security challenges.
Nawrocki’s visit to the United States includes his participation in the General Debate of the UN General Assembly, where he will address global issues alongside other world leaders. His itinerary also features meetings with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and UN General Assembly President Chalilur Rahman, as well as an engagement with the chairperson of the African Union.
During their time in the U.S., President Nawrocki and First Lady Marta Nawrocka took a moment to honor the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, underscoring a commitment to remembering the past while addressing present and future security concerns.
