Türkiye and Egypt have taken a significant step toward bolstering their defense ties by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on defense cooperation. This agreement was formalized during a meeting in Ankara between Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler and Egyptian Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Ashraf Salem Zaher. The MoU marks an important milestone in the ongoing improvement of bilateral relations that have been progressing over the past three years, following a lengthy period of strained interactions.
